When buying bedding, you will ask: Is this pure cotton? However, they fell into a contradiction: they are all pure cotton, but which one is better? Different pure cotton quilt covers have different selling prices. For example, some pure cotton four-piece sets sell for 199 yuan, but some pure cotton four-piece sets sell for 1999 yuan.

1. The quality of cotton determines the quality of fabrics
Cotton quality determines fabric quality. We know that cotton is divided into fine-staple cotton and long-staple cotton (such as Pima cotton, sea-island cotton, etc.), and they measure the quality of cotton based on cotton fiber length, micronaire value, short-staple rate, and strength. Generally speaking, Egyptian long-staple cotton ≥ other long-staple cotton ≥ fine-staple cotton.

2. The difference between combed cotton and carded cotton
Spinning is the most critical step related to fabric feel. If the fabric is made of combed cotton, the short fibers and impurities in the cotton are removed, so the yarn is smoother, with higher toughness, less prone to pilling, and the woven fabric has better gloss and the highest strength. But carded cotton, not necessarily.

3. The finer the yarn, the denser the cloth
The yarn spun from good cotton is fine, such as 80 refers to the fineness of the yarn, and the finer the yarn can weave high-density fabrics, 133*72 refers to the total number of warp and weft yarns of the fabric yarn is 205; It reaches more than 300 per inch; the high-density pure cotton fabric is light, soft and comfortable.

4. The fabric structure determines the soft color
In the weaving process of fabrics, the organizational structure is also different, which can be roughly divided into three types: "plain weave, twill weave and satin weave". In other words, in the case of homogeneous fabrics, generally satin weave ≥ twill weave ≥ plain weave.

5. The choice of dyes determines health and safety
The next step is the fabric printing and dyeing process. Bad dyes can easily lead to excessive pH, formaldehyde, carcinogenic, and allergenic substances, causing skin diseases, allergic diseases, and even cancer. Good fabrics pay attention to these from the very beginning, and generally require zero formaldehyde, and a pH close to the healthy value of human skin.
